Municipio de Caborca is a municipality located in the northwestern state of Sonora, Mexico. The municipality has a total area of 10,721 square kilometers and a population of approximately 60,000 people. The municipal seat is the city of Caborca, which is located about 170 kilometers from the state capital, Hermosillo. Caborca is an important agricultural center known for its production of wheat, cotton, and vegetables. It is also home to several mining and manufacturing operations, as well as a popular beach destination, Puerto Lobos. The municipality is home to several indigenous groups, including the Tohono O'odham and the Seri.
